Information We Collect

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your email address and display name. If you register using Google, we also receive your Google account's public profile information, including your name, email, and profile picture. Registration is restricted to users with an `@optimics.cz` or `@optimics.com` email address.
• Game Data: We store all data related to your in-game character, including your chosen class, level, XP, crew affiliation, inventory, and other game-related statistics. This data is essential for the application to function.
• Location & Proximity Data: To enable core gameplay features, we may collect coarse and precise location data, including timestamps and accuracy. We also use Bluetooth to verify proximity to other players for certain in-game interactions like trading.
• Analytics Data: If you provide consent, we collect anonymous data about your interaction with our website using Google Analytics. This includes page views, button clicks, and general user behavior, along with anonymized character data (like class, level, and crew).

How We Use Your Information

• To Provide the Game Experience: Your account and game data are used to operate the LARP, manage your character's progression, and enable interaction within the game world.
• For Gameplay Mechanics: Location and Bluetooth data may be used to show nearby points of interest, verify your presence within a territory for capture mechanics, and confirm proximity for player-to-player trades.
• To Improve Our Service: Anonymized analytics data helps us understand how users interact with the application, allowing us to identify issues, improve game balance, and ensure event safety. We do not use this data for marketing or commercial purposes.
• To Communicate With You: We may use your email address to send important information about the event.

Location and Bluetooth Data

For a mobile application version of the game, background location access may be required. This is used sparingly during the event to ensure that game state, such as territory control and discoveries, can update reliably even when your device is locked or the app is briefly in the background. We primarily use significant-change updates to minimize battery impact, with high-accuracy tracking only resuming when the app is in the foreground. Bluetooth may be used to verify player proximity for peer-to-peer interactions like trading. You can opt-out of these services, but this may limit your ability to participate in certain core gameplay mechanics.

Analytics and Cookies

• We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymous usage data. This service uses cookies to function.
• We have implemented a consent banner. Analytics cookies will only be used if you provide explicit consent by clicking "Accept" on the banner. If you decline, no analytics data will be collected.
• We do not use any other tracking technologies for advertising or marketing.

Data Processing and Storage

• We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to any outside parties for advertising purposes.
• All your account and game data is securely stored on Google's Firebase platform (Authentication and Firestore). Analytics data is collected via Google Analytics 4 and stored in Google Cloud (BigQuery) for our exclusive use.
• We have disabled all data-sharing settings within our Google Analytics configuration. This means the analytics data we collect is not shared with Google for advertising, benchmarking, or any other purpose. We are the sole controllers of this data.

Your Right to Data Deletion

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data. To do so, please visit our Data Deletion Request page and follow the instructions. We will process your request in a timely manner after verifying your identity.
